JBL Music Academy

Project
For 2025, JBL’s Martin Garrix Music Academy wanted more than a standard educational campaign. The goal was to turn that energy into a visual language for aspiring singers, songwriters, producers, and musicians, creating a space where creativity and mastery come together.
I led and developed this concept for a client brief, driving art direction, design, and motion. *While it wasn’t selected, I expanded it into a personal project to fully explore a more expressive creative direction than what was expected.
Approach
The identity had to resonate with people who don’t just learn music, they live it. It intentionally moves away from traditional academic visuals and instead behaves like music itself fluid, expressive, and atmospheric.
Outcome
The visual system mirrors musical structure, using layered gradients, rhythmic forms, and atmospheric textures to translate sound into feeling. JBL’s signature orange was reworked into a warm haze inspired by studio environments and live moments.
The result positions the academy as a place where sound becomes emotion, learning becomes expression, and music is experienced not just taught.
